World’s most famous reflexologist, Inge Dougans. Amongst her countless efforts and hard work within this field, the most renowned achievement is leading reflexology practice to national license status.
South Africa is known as one and only country in the world to qualify reflexology as national license. In this country, foot reflexology is regarded as “treatment” which can “help overcome” alignments such as cancer, diabetes, AIDS, and at the same time, appreciated as complementary therapy which can support mental and spiritual health.
The internationally trusted method called “Therapeutic Reflexology” is unique in its way of applying pressure on foot reflex areas, and by using meridian theory, the effect of the treatment is delivered to vital organ efficiently and punctually.
Inge will deliver her first workshop in Japan, introducing her “Most trusted” method, with theory and demonstration.

Inge Dougans
Founder and Chairman of The South African Reflexology Society, and Principle of The International Academy of Reflexology. Author and a world renowned lecturer was born and educated in Denmark. Her career began in April 1981, after overcoming infertility through reflexology treatment. In October of that year she emigrated to South Africa and opened a private reflexology clinic, and since then have dedicated her career to training professional reflexologist in SA. Over the years Inge has worked hard to earn recognition and status for her academy and reflexology as a profession. The International academy of Reflexology & Meridian Therapy has been accredited with registration as a Private Higher Education Institution on the National Qualifications framework in South Africa by the Department of Higher Education, affording the Academy the right to tertiary Diploma Level (Level 5).
Honorary membership to the Association of Reflexologists (AoR) in the United Kingdom and Honorary membership to The South African Reflexology Society
